Our top priority with the Oshawa Generals is to always push the envelope creatively. Settling for the status quo is not acceptable with their organization.
The pressure to live outside the box is where we as creative thrive. This gives us the opportunity to leverage next-level techniques and experiment with practical effects that can take our projects to the next level.
Experimenting comes with its own risks. When trying new techniques or practical effects its important that we take the time to plan every shot prior to filming. There is no room for error so we take that approach before we hit the record button.
- This project was one of our all-time favourite videos we have ever worked on period. In this video, we used a unique practical fire effect that combined soap water and butane to create a flammable solution that would burn up quick and safe to the touch. This allowed us to use this effect on equipment and players.
- In order to capture this effect we shot each frame at 120 frames per second slow motion.
- This community piece follows Alex on his journey to become an Oshawa General for a day. Alex was called up to sign a one day contract and as part of his team initiation, he had the opportunity to get a tour of the dressing room, be a part of the pre-game ceremony, and much more.
